VILLA AGNANTI is located at Sesi Beach of Grammatiko, next to the historic region of Marathon 42 kilometers northeast of Athens. The Villa consists of two and four bed apartments which were built originally to accommodate groups of visitors (up to 27 ) for the Olympic Games in Athens 2004. The Unit is built on 5 acres of land, 400 meters away from the sea with a panoramic view of the island of Euvoia.

Villa Agnanti is located 17 kilometers away from the Olympic Rowing Center of Schinias, 16 kilometers from the Historic Tomb of Marathon and 15 kilometers from the starting line of the Athens Marathon. The ancient site of Ramnous is 12 km away from Marathon which was built next to two temples.

The Historic Battle of Marathon took place in 490 B.C. According to Herodotus, 100,000 Persians were defeated by 11,000 Greek Soldiers at Marathon. The Greeks were victorious due to the ingenious plan of their general Miltiades.

After the victory, a soldier, Pheidippides was dispatched to bring Athens the news. He ran all the way from the battlefield to the Athenian Agora where he collapsed after delivering his one word message: Nenikikamen meaning We have Won!

Pheidippides run is the event which inspires today's Marathon runners all over the world.

Villa Agnanti is ideal for those who love nature and want to relax.

The area offers two fish Tavernas on the beach with traditional Greek food and wine.

However, prior arrangement for their own transportation is required as the next transportation station to Athens and Marathon is 8 kilometers away at the local village of Grammatiko.

HOW TO GET THERE

From the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos you take the Attiki Odos towards Athens. Turn off at EXIT 15 to Marathon avenue to the town of Marathon. Go straight through Marathon town to the village of Grammatiko. When you reach the Village of Grammatiko, prepare yourself to turn towards Paralia Sesi (or Sesi Beach). Villa Agnanti is situated approximately 8 kilometers from the Village of Grammatiko at Sesi Beach.
